October was an exciting month at Mercey Springs Elementary, filled with activities focused on Respect and Bullying Prevention. Students participated in Bullying Prevention lessons and a fun Anti-Bullying Rally celebrating kindness and inclusion. The school also launched Ripple Effects, a new social-emotional learning program, and hosted the first “Cafecito with Counselors” for families. Spirit days for Breast Cancer Awareness and Red Ribbon Week brought the community together, ending with a festive Halloween “Boo to Drugs” celebration. Congratulations to Danielle Ortega and Jacqueline Alcaraz for earning the School Counselor Appreciation Award for October!
