The California State Preschool (CSPP) is funded through a contract of the Child Development Division of the State of California.  This program is located at the following campuses:

• Westside Union Elementary at 659 K Street - WUES Preschool

• Henry Miller Elementary at 545 West "L" Street - HME Preschool

• RM Miano Elementary at 1129 "B" Street - RME Preschool

• Mercey Springs Elementary at 1900 Mercey Springs Rd. - MSE Preschool

It is a part-day program with a morning and afternoon session that are each three hours long.

The morning session is from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.

The afternoon session is from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. 

The program runs on a 10 month traditional calendar for 180 school days.  In addition, the purpose of the preschool program is to work as a collaborative team of educators, families, and community members to provide a safe interactive learning environment. The preschool program will provide a strong foundation that supports our children’s life long success. 

Parents are encouraged to participate.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for the Preschool program, a child must be 3 or 4 years of age and the family must meet income requirements. There are no fees or tuition for the preschool program. 

In a preschool program funded by the State of California you must disclose any changes in your total family income.
