ππ₯¦ Recognizing National Nutrition Month π₯¦π
This March, we recognize National Nutrition Month to highlight the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits. At Los Banos Unified School District, we believe that good nutrition is the foundation of a bright, healthy future for our students.
Why Nutrition Matters? π€
Nutrition is more than just eating a good meal; it's about feeding the future. Healthful eating habits provide students with the energy to learn and grow, both inside and outside the classroom. A balanced diet boosts immunity, supports physical development, enhances mental focus, and lays the groundwork for healthy lifestyle choices later in life.
Our Commitment to Nutritious Meals π²
We are proud to offer our students nutritious meals that are both delicious and wholesome. Our menus are carefully designed to support a balanced diet. We strive to ensure that every meal contributes to our studentsβ health and well-being.
Encouraging Healthful Eating Habits π±
Variety is Key: Encourage your child to try a wide range of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Each color provides different vitamins and minerals!
Stay Hydrated: Water is essential for good health. Replace sugary drinks with water or milk.
Healthy Snacks: Choose snacks that fuel the body and mind, such as nuts, yogurt, or sliced fruits.
Family Meals: Sharing meals as a family can improve eating habits and provides a time for connecting.
Be Active: Physical activity goes hand in hand with nutrition. Encourage your children to play outside, join a sports team, or engage in other physical activities they enjoy.
Join Us in This Journey β¨
We invite our students, staff, and the entire Los Banos community to join us in celebrating National Nutrition Month by embracing and promoting healthful eating habits. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the health and well-being of our children.
Let's nourish the body, mind, and spirit of our next generation, one healthy choice at a time!
